Mark Bailey and Michael Oatman win the Steve Lehman 6 Gold Star Award for the creation of Nobody Liked Duckfoot. Duckfoot is a hidden gem in the world of cartoon characters. Never published in the mainstream press, only a few rare copies of this cult classic still exist.
I want to recognize Oatman and Bailey as pioneers in the realm of dark cartoons. They were creating weird dark stuff before South Park even existed. But you know how it goes…..”first on the beach often gets shot.”
The Great Michael Oatman has gone on to have an amazing career as a professional artist and professor. Mark Bailey has moved onto bigger and better things and is a rising star in the world of Hollywood screenwriting.
